The Botanist café & Bar is currently seeking passionate individuals to fill the roles of Cook for the PM Shift and Kitchen Hand on a Rotating Roster.

Cook:
As a Cook for the PM Shift, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals in a fast-paced airport environment. Your primary duties will include:
Executing menu items efficiently and accurately.
Ordering and stocktaking experience.
Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
Ensuring food safety standards are met at all times.
Collaborating with team members to meet service goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
Proven experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Kitchen Hand:
As a Kitchen Hand on our rotating roster, you will play a crucial role, in supporting the kitchen team and ensuring smooth operations. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with food preparation and cooking as directed by the Cook or Head Chef.
Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen surfaces and equipment.
Stocking and restocking inventory as needed.
Following health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred
Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy kitchen.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
