- Base hourly rate up to $25 - $28/hr (depending on experience) + Super + Salary Packaging benefits
- Five (5) hours per day, mostly from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm, and it may vary depending on the need
- Seeking a passionate Cook to join our team on a permanent part time basis!
What you’ll be doing in this role
As a Cook, you will be planning nutritious, well presented and appropriate meals and snacks for children (0-5years) whilst adhering to food handling and hygiene practices. You will be responsible for ensuring various dietary requirements and allergies are accounted for. You will also be responsible for stock control and ordering.
Who we’re looking for
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (essential)
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education or Children's Services (Desirable but not required)
- Preferred Experience in meal preparation for the Early Child Care setting.
- Flexibility required for all areas (E.g. Menu adjustments and work hours)
- A team-player attitude, with the ability to work effectively with staff and management
- You’ll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.

Uniting Early Learning Medowie has supported families for over 20 years with education and childcare, including a preschool program. We are open long hours for children from birth to five years. We value every child as an individual with a unique personality, interests and needs, so we can best help them to unlock and achieve their potential while enjoying their time in our care.
