We currently have a fantastic opportunity at Tomago Aluminium Foodpad for a dynamic and outgoing Catering Assistant, who is passionate about customer service and providing the best overall experience in a Café/ Takeaway setting. Your goal will be to provide fast, friendly service and work with a small team to provide an excellent customer experience. You will be required to support in food and function preparation as required, make espresso coffees, operate the POS system and keep a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.

This is a casual position Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 1.30pm at the Tomago Aluminium Foodpad. Trippas White Group also has multiple sites in Newcastle so extra hours can be available for the right applicant.

You will be responsible for:

• Preparing sandwiches
• Espresso machine coffee making
• Operate the POS System
• Following a cleaning plan to ensure all cleaning and sanitising is maintained
• Managing stock rotation to minimise wastage
• Ensuring all safety, hygiene and food presentation is maintained to a high quality

To hit the ground running you will demonstrate:

• A proven ability to deliver quality and friendly customer service
• Basic Coffee Knowledge and the ability to Operate a POS system (training provided)
• Teamwork and customer relationship skills
• Constructive behaviours that are a positive example to others
• Ability to multi as part of a team
• High standards of food and occupational safety and hygiene
• A current driver's license
