Coordinator Advocacy and Partnerships

  • Salary Range Band 8 $122,052 - $136,780 plus 11% Super
  • Full time Permanent position
  • Located at St Kilda Town Hall with flexible working arrangements possible.

About the Organisation 

The City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors. These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more. City of Port Phillip has zero tolerance for child abuse and is a committed Child Safe organisation.

About the Role

Join a high performing, dynamic team responsible for achieving Council’s Advocacy and stakeholder management outcomes. 

Duties:

  • Maintain strong relationships between Council and other levels of government.
  • Identify funding and grant opportunities 
  • Foster strong relationships with key government departments and funding bodies.
  • Identify new and innovative partnership opportunities 
  • Support Council’s involvement in regional groups and Partnerships 

Skills and Experience 

  • Demonstrated experience in working in a political environment 
  • Demonstrated experience working in Advocacy and/grants fields.
  • Experience writing and reviewing grant applications and funding submissions. 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a positive rapport and collaborative relationships 
  • Demonstrated ability to skillfully communicate complex information and issues
