CEO recognition program Work within a friendly, supportive team that promotes a healthy work life balance Opportunities to undertake training to upskill and enhance your career progression About your new branch The Engineering, Design and Standards Branch is responsible for infrastructure engineering, design, survey, specifications, asset standards, electrical infrastructure and contributed assets across all customer and community facing infrastructure classes. About your new role In this role you will be responsible for the successful delivery of high-quality contributed assets constructed by the development industry and handed over to various asset custodians within the City. Total assets delivered per year are valued at over $150 million. This position ensures the construction of civil infrastructure throughout the Gold Coast is carried out and quality controlled in accordance with the City's Land Development Guidelines and relevant development approvals. Based on the Gold Coast and reporting to the Manager Contributed Assets you will be trusted with: The successful delivery of good quality developer's contributed assetsincluding but not limited to, roads and drainage, sewer, water, bridges, water sensitive urban design assets and related quality assurance information to relevant asset owner custodians within the City Providing leadership to the Contributed Assets Civil team by building and motivating members to adhere to their responsibilities and achieve objectives Managing the day-to-day activities of the team, resources, and program of works Ensuring status reporting regarding deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues are communicated to various stakeholders in a timely manner Reviewing and managing the execution of various bond agreements. Developing and maintaining open and transparent working relationships between internal and external stakeholders Reviewing, updating, and implementing policies, processes, procedures, and work instructions Developing and implementing the street naming policy Foster a working environment committing to the City's High-Performance Principals Supporting the Manager - Contributed Assets to action any other tasks as required What you bring to your new role Your primary goal is simple - playing a senior role in the business, you will lead the Contributed Assets Civil team of 12 engineering and technical officers, ensuring quality contributed assets aredelivered to theCity in an appropriate timeframe.
