About the roleIn this role, you will develop and manage the standards, design notes and service frameworks to ensure consistent and effective Civil Infrastructure service delivery if afforded to our community.
Work type: Permanent full timeClassification: $135,000-$140,000 plus superannuation
Key responsibilities include:
Develop and oversee all Civil Infrastructure projects and programs in the capacity of the Client, responsible for all internally delivered Civil Infrastructure Works.
Ensure all Civil Infrastructure is being appropriately monitored to determine condition and service effectiveness with aligned renewal programs and renewal gap transparency.
Ensure Civil Infrastructure assets built or gifted are optimised for our community’s needs.
Development of service levels across our Civil Infrastructure in accordance with budgetary apportionment for their effective operations.
Managing 3rd party access and/or connection into infrastructure within the City’s Road reserves.
Implementation of the City’s Special Rates and Charges programs where community service demand exceeds our service provisions.
Provision of referral advice in relation to Civil Infrastructure and Flooding via the building permit report and consent process.
Divisional representative for the Infrastructure Design Manual (IDM) Committee
About youTo be successful in this role, you will be a registered Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering and exceptional people management skills with demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams to deliver results.
Essential Experience:
Extensive experience in strategic asset management practices and implementation into operational outcomes within the field on civil engineering.
Solid proficiency in successful project, program and contract management, preferably within a civil engineering environment.
Ability to determine high-level program delivery across multiple functional work areas, resolve service delivery issues, and oversee operational work allocation.
Solid knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and practices related to traffic and civil engineering, inclusive OH&S obligations.
Proven interpersonal skills with experience in dealing effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders within a complex organisation.
Strong experience in business planning and management, including budget development, financial management, resource management, and complex reporting.
