Are you able to collaborate with other departments and community partners to raise awareness and improve community resilience and self-reliance?The Coordinator Community Development will lead a skilled team that works in partnership with South Gippsland's diverse communities to encourage and support participation in community planning, project and activity development, and youth engagement. This work will often include after-hour commitments.You will coordinate a multi-disciplined team and creatively manage projects, develop initiatives, and seek new opportunities.ABOUT YOUYour qualifications and experience may include:
- A tertiary qualification or have extensive experience in Community Development and/or Social Planning.
- Experience in managing Community Development projects, and supporting community-based initiatives.
- a strong understanding of the issues impacting on small rural communities with the region.
- You will have the ability to lead, influence, and motivate staff with diverse roles, and a real commitment to working in a team.
- You will have engaging communication and interpersonal skills.
