**About the Role**
As the Coordinator, Mental Health Student Placement, you will collaborate with clinical affiliates, students, allied health faculty, and school administration to ensure clinical placement meets expected learning outcomes. You will also contribute to the development and delivery of Mental Health courses in addition to the administrative functions of the institute.
You will:
- Conduct orientation sessions and ensure students complete clinical orientation requirements.
- Provide support for on-site preceptors working with students whilst on Mental Health placement.
- Conduct clinical site visits to assess the appropriateness of clinical activities and students' clinical practice experiences.
- Monitor students' progress in developing and performing skills in a clinical setting.
- Provide assistance with the running of Mental Health simulation workshops.
**About You**
As well as extensive work experience in Mental Health nursing, you will have the ability to maintain confidential information and be able to prioritize work to meet deadlines in a timely manner. You will be available to work varied hours and have the capacity to work independently as well as in a team setting. You will possess:
- Proficiency in computer usage and Microsoft Office products.
- Demonstrated commitment to and enthusiasm for teaching and learning, and a good teaching record.
- University clinical coordination experience is desirable.
