We aim to provide strong clinical leadership to support all staff to provide professional treatment and care through integrated community teams, inpatient, residential services. Our purpose is “Leading to Mental Health” which reflects these values and our responsibilities.With booming, culturally rich and diverse communities and less than an hour's drive from the CBD, Melbourne's North is fast becoming the place to be!Our Mental Health Occupational Therapy Workforce:The Northern Health Mental Health Division has a growing Occupational Therapy workforce, including Grade 1, 2, 3 and 4 clinicians in generic and discipline specific roles. We also have occupational therapists in clinical specialist fields and management. We also lead an innovative specialist driving service.Mental Health Occupational Therapists are well supported professionally with access to regular supervision, professional development and communities of practice. We have a long track record in growing Occupational Therapy evidence through evaluation and research.Our Occupational Therapists work across many areas of practice including:
- Acute Inpatient Service
- Emergency Mental Health
- Hospital Outreach Post-Suicidal Engagement (HOPE)
- Community Mental Health
- Prevention and Recovery Care Service (PARC)
- Community Care Unit (CCU)
- Experience and passion for providing Occupational Therapy services with consumers who experience a Mental Health condition and have complex needs
- Proven ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment and enjoy working in a large Occupational Therapy division
- Committed to evidence-based practice, interest and expertise in group work and sensory modulation interventions
