We are a small business focusing on dog walking and dog behavioural business with a passion for all dogs big and small. We have a strong customer base and continual growth leading to a sustainable business expansion. We run daily dog walking adventures and solo walks around Inner Eastern Melbourne. We also offer support to pet owners that have dogs with behavioural issues. Like any customer services business, our clients are number one!
Role
We currently have a flexible part-time working position within our company, reporting directly to the business owner, you will be the main support to operations and the face of our customer service. In this hybrid role, you will support the owner in ensuring the smooth daily workings of the business and coordinate operations through to customer service. You will be taking all control of our client communications however this will be broken up with the outdoors while conducting your own group dog walks and daily walks. You will be self managed to ensure that the owner can focus on the continual growth of the business however we will provide you with a supportive work environment with a role that will build with the business and provide a good work/life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute, monitor and lead all aspects of the customer relationships.
- Ensure communication is effective and mirrors the essence of our brand.
- Scheduling bookings and communicating bookings to clients.
- Complete regular/daily dog walks/adventures and emergency fill in when required.
- Onboarding of new clients including meeting and greeting, processing vital engagement documentation.
- Customer service troubleshooting, consulting, prioritising and/or deferring client booking when circumstances dictate.
- Creating and distributing video and photo content for our pet owners.
- Managing social media accounts.
- Supervising groups of dogs and managing their behaviours to maintain overall wellbeing and safety.
- Provide support to the business owner and other staff.
- Liaising with other staff regarding clients, scheduling, bookings and dogs.
- Completing various daily administration tasks including answering enquires through emails and phone, record keeping and entering information in our booking systems.
- Upkeep of company vehicles including fueling and organisation.
- Ordering/procuring stocks and products when required.
- Keep accurate records of purchases, information and bookings.
- Optimise the collection and drop-off schedules.
About You
- Previous experience working with animals.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Previous experience in scheduling and booking.
- Must have the ability to self manage and self motivated.
- Must work well in a team environment.
- Must be attentive and have a great attention to detail
- Must be driven and have a strong work ethic as the role can be challenging and physical.
- Have a friendly and cheerful manner.
- Available for a minimum of 4 days a week with a minimum of 20 hours over a week.
Skills Required
- Must have a full driver's licence.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Physically fit.
- Confident driver.
- Ability to read basic dog behaviour.
- Have basic computer/phone including word, excel, outlook.
