Wine Selectors is a subscription based wine company that has been delivering Australian wine experiences for almost 50 years. We are passionate about wine and the lifestyle that surrounds it and we are seeking a copywriter who is just as passionate to join our Newcastle based team.
The successful candidate will need relevant experience of producing copy for print and digital advertising, web content, emails, social media content, product descriptions, and consumer-facing communications. They should share our passion for wine or a desire to know more about wine.
In this role you will:
- Create engaging and inspiring content and communications relevant to the target audience.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Digital departments to write compelling copy for wine offers, which are presented to Members via email, catalogues and print.
- Write online articles for our content hub, including winemaker interviews, cellar door guides and educational wine pieces.
- Write advertorial copy to appear in Selector magazine for a diverse range of clients.
- Edit and proofread documents to maximise coherence and flow
The skills and experience you offer:
- Proven copywriting ability (minimum of 5 years’ experience)
- A portfolio demonstrating diverse writing skills, including the ability to translate technical topics into accessible, engaging language. Plus proven understanding of writing for digital channels.
- Ability to develop creative concepts and ideas.
- Experience in writing and editing copy in the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to work will with others and take on feedback in a constructive way
- Excellent editing skills, including proficiency in substantive editing, copyediting and proofreading
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Results-driven outlook, with a proactive mindset and the ability to work autonomously as well as being a contributing member of a team;
