The Agnew Hybrid Renewable Project is Australia's largest hybrid renewable energy microgrid and the first to utilise wind generation at a mine site.

Job description:

Role Details:

Reporting to the Senior Assistant: Geology, you will be responsible for assisting the core processing team to facilitate optimum production for underground operations with a direct focus on processing diamond drill core samples at the New Holland Core Shed.

This role is offered on a permanent basis on a 8 days on 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth.

About the role:

Working in the Core Shed performing the following duties:

  • Interact with the Senior Geology Assistant and Mining teams to ensure that daily work activities are fully planned and coordinated to ensure effective delivery;

  • Complete all tasks associated with the diamond drill core processing workflow;

  • Complete accurate data entry of geological information;

  • Complete all tasks associated with the daily sample dispatch services to the assay laboratory.

About you:

  • Completion of Year 12 secondary school education

  • Be able to be on your feet for most of the day

  • Previous experience in a Geology Assistant role is highly desirable

  • Experience in database applications is desirable although not essential

  • Current manual C Class driver's licence

  • High Risk Forklift ticket is essential
