The Clinical Nurse Consultant contributes to the provision of a high-quality service to the Coroners Court of Queensland by providing clinical expertise and consultancy at an advanced practice level within Forensic Pathology.For Apparent Natural Causes deaths reported to the Coronial Registrar, the Clinical Nurse Consultant (Coronial Nurse) is responsible for providing information and support to bereaved family members including coronial processes, brief intervention, grief and loss support.This role may be required to perform duties at other locations throughout Queensland Health and may be required to participate in a continuous shift roster.
Provide clinical nursing expertise to Forensic Pathology to obtain and interpret a wide variety of medical evidence to assist the Forensic Pathologists.

- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act 2009. Certified copies of the required information must be provided prior to the commencement of clinical duties
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.
- While not mandatory a post graduate nursing qualification would be well regarded.
- Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience
