We have an amazing opportunity for a Corporate Partnerships and Marketing Specialist to join a small yet dynamic team and be responsible for developing and maintaining strong corporate relationships in the private and public sectors.
Reporting directly to the General Manager of Marketing and Media the successful applicant will also be accountable for driving revenue from sponsorship assets.
This position is responsible for (although not limited to):
- Focusing on the sale of all annual Sponsorship packages and other assets at the Darwin Turf Club.
- Collaborating with the Food & Beverage and Sales and Marketing teams to develop the Corporate Partner experience at the Darwin Turf Club.
- Developing key relationships and providing exceptional service to maximise revenue from current and potential corporate partners.
- Managing the delivery of benefits to our Corporate Partners, ensuring that service exceeds expectations.
- Collaborating with the GM of Marketing & Media in the development and delivery of the overall Corporate Partnership Strategy.
- Assisting in the development and presentation of commercial reports and strategy including the analysis of future revenue opportunities.
- Provide marketing support not withstanding but including campaign management and content generation when required.
- Responsible for maintaining and working within budgets.
- Conceptualising, planning, and delivering on promotional activities for feature events and race days.
- Working in collaboration with the GM of Marketing and media to deliver event and campaign-specific marketing, communications, and promotional material linked to Partnerships and other brands across the property.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce and Business or related field
- Certificate IV in Business Sales or similar
- Proven track record of success in the negotiation and delivery of commercial agreements
- 2 – 3 years’ experience in a similar position
- Experience in working in Sales and/or Partnerships with a significant focus on client/account servicing
- Strong commercial acumen with working knowledge of effective sales and relationship-building skills
- Strong Communication Skills – verbal and written at all business levels
- Experience in managing and working off CRM systems
Key Personal Attributes:
This is a hands-on position that requires an experienced professional who can enhance the partnership’s portfolio and build on our revenue targets to achieve great results. In addition to this, you will have a high standard of presentation, be a team player and think strategically by way of attracting new partners to the Darwin Turf Club/ Silks and seek to maximise both new and existing partner benefit experiences.
The role also includes assisting in the marketing team with event, brand and concept development.
You will need to be fully available between June and August as no leave will be approved during this busy period. Weekend availability and the ability to be flexible with hours worked is also essential.
