Join our team as a Corporate Planning and Reporting Coordinator and be at the forefront of driving strategic decision-making through accurate and insightful reporting. As a key member of our organisation, you will facilitate the preparation, reporting and continuous improvement of the Integrated Planning & Reporting Framework at Council. The role will also coordinate the reporting requirements under the Capacity Capability and Recovery Roadmap (CCRR) project in conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the duration of the CCRR Agreement with the NSW State Government. 
This is a fixed term full time role, working 70 hours per fortnight until 30 June 2026, that will primarily be based at our Corporate Centre in Goonellabah.

What we trust you to deliver 
  • Guide and facilitate the development and implementation of Council’s integrated Planning and Reporting framework, including the Community Strategic Plan, Delivery Program, annual Operational Plans, and other relevant corporate plans
  • Coordinate the CCRR project in conjunction with the CFO, including working with staff responsible for project delivery to assist in preparing progress and financial reports to the Executive, Council and the Office of Local Government in accordance with required timeframes
  • Develop effective partnerships with the senior leadership team and corporate functions to align Corporate Planning systems and processes and embed integrated Planning and Reporting principles
  • Monitor and analyse progress towards achieving Council’s strategic objectives, develop performance reports against internal and external key performance indicators, and identify key insights and trends
What you'll need to be successful
  • Tertiary qualifications in a business related/ Corporate Planning discipline or demonstrated hands on experience in developing Corporate Planning and policy documents
  • Able to effectively manage competing priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Collaborative and have a problem solving approach
  • Able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
