About the role:

Primarily responsible for effective, efficient and value-based audit service delivery focused on positive outcomes for our clients and Intertek as assigned and in accordance with approved codes and relevant experience across Intertek's full-service offering, including all Corporate Social Responsibility, Supply Chain Management, Management Systems and Training.

As a lead auditor, you will be responsible for delivering and completing all audit activities within Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands in line with client expectations, SLA's, KPIs, and our company processes and policies on behalf of Intertek, Auditees and our clients. In addition, the lead auditor will be responsible for the governance and communication for/of auditors assigned under the lead auditor in any given assessment if applicable.

As a Corporate Social Responsibility Auditor, you will gain experience and be provided expert training in the field to ensure competencies are met, maintained to a level of expertise to ensure Intertek's market and thought leadership position is upheld and all audits and activities are performed with expert knowledge and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in line with strategic, operational direction and active promotion of the Intertek service delivery vision to actively seek to provide our clients with an ease of doing business, value-based assessment approach and a focus on delivering valuable insights in line with our client's business objectives
  • Manage all phase of assessments/audits and recommendation for registration or conformity to the client's specific requirements/standards within SLA's and/or KPI's
  • Experience and expert knowledge in local labour, health & safety and environmental laws.
  • Liaise with the audit coordinator to perform the assigned Audit effectively
  • Preparing the audit plan, prepare a report and general preparedness within SLA time before the Audit and establish communications with the auditee's representatives and audit team members for the performance and governance of the Audit
  • Conduct assigned audits in accordance with contracted client agreements & submit required reports as per KPIs
  • Any other duties based on ISO 19011 (most recent version)
  • Maintain a portfolio of clients as required by the business

The Ideal Candidate:

Essential:

  • Expert understanding of employment, environmental and workplace health and safety legislative requirements
  • Tertiary education or equivalent work/demonstrated experience
  • 5+ Years in an operational audit and compliance role or demonstrated experience/aptitude.
  • Relevant industry work experience 5+ Years
  • Relevant technical knowledge

Advantage:

  • Lead Auditor qualification and certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility Auditing
  • The demonstrable audit logs of a minimum of 35 audits in CSR auditing would be an advantage
  • Lead Auditor ISO 9001, 14001,4801/18001, 45001
  • Demonstrable audit logs of a minimum of 50 - 100 audit days in 3rd party accredited
