UGL's Utilities Operations & Maintenance business is a trusted provider of services to owners of assets across power, water, and gas sectors. Building on our strong reputation and long-standing contracts in power distribution, transmission, and water operations and maintenance, we are poised for significant growth.
Due to our continued growth of national projects, we have an immediate opportunity for a Cost Controller to join the Utilities Operations & Maintenance team based in either Melbourne or Perth.
The Role
Working with guidance from the Project Controls Managers this role is responsible for providing timely cost expertise by monitoring, analysing and reporting on project progress and costs for our projects within Victoria and the West:
- Provide strong focus on cost trending and forecasting
- Establish and monitor project baseline budgets
- Produce regular end of month cost reports
- Maintain risk registers to include change impacts
- Monitor and report on cost actuals vs budget
- Liaison with the PCM for compiling and submitting client progress claims
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in business, commercial, engineering, finance or similar preferred
- Minimum 5 years practical experience on major infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated experience with cost management tools (Excel, SAP, Power Bi, SharePoint)
- Highly developed communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Strong conflict resolution skills, coupled with the ability to work independently in a fast paced construction environment
