ABOUT THE ROLE
Join our Business Partnering Commercial Team working with the Operated Assets to provide support and insights to capital planning and project forecasting. In this role, you'll partner with the business to deliver spending insights, assist in decision-making, and embed best practices in cost management. You will be the key contact for developing, monitoring, and reporting on actual spend, forecasts, and budgets.
More about the role:
-Conduct variance analysis and commentary on actual spending and develop and monitor the operational budget and forecasts.
-Create work breakdown structures and project cost estimates aligned with program schedules, identifying risks and opportunities to support work program prioritisation.
-Develop tools and reports for Budget Owners to link activities to costs and track against budget assumptions. Challenge project readiness and execution plans.
-Support the project teams through the project life cycle, providing guidance on core process set-up to close out.
-Review, develop, and submit monthly accruals, including reconciliation to PO commitments and corrective actions.
-Provide advice and training on the correct use of cost codes by understanding open Purchase Orders and cost codes.
ABOUT YOU
To excel in this role, you should be self-motivated, able to build strong internal relationships, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with high personal accountability.
More about you:
-Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited university.
-Experienced Excel user with desired cost modelling experience, with the ability to interpret cost and schedule data for forecasting purposes.
-Familiarity with large project-based systems like SAP; experience with Prism G2 and/or Primavera P6 is a plus.
