The Court Officer is responsible for providing an effectiveregistry and information service by advising court users on courtpractice and procedures, processing incoming registry work, andhandling documents lodged.
This role is located at the Mount Gambier Magistrates Court.
Special Conditions:
The following special conditions apply to this position:
- Part-time hours (18.75 hours per week)
- Appointment is under the Courts Administration Act, 1993. Terms and Conditions of employment are governed by the Public Sector Act, 2009.
- This role is identified as a Prescribed Position and the successful applicant is required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to employment with the CAA, which must be renewed every five years before expiry.
WWCC’s can be obtained through the Department of Human Services (DHS) Screening Unit - Appointment is dependent upon a current National Police Certificate that the CAA finds satisfactory.
- As a justice agency, the CAA may receive details of spent convictions as part of any Criminal History Screening and use this information in the selection process.
- Appointees may be directed to disclose their COVID-19 vaccination status.
- Eligible for appointment as a Justice of the Peace.
- May be appointed as a Deputy Registrar pursuant to the Magistrates Court Act 1991 and/or as a Deputy Sheriff Pursuant to the Sheriff’s Act 1978.
Remuneration:
ASO2 ($57,842 - $62,221 per annum adjusted to hours worked)
