What You Will Be Working On
As a Creche Assistant at AFAC, your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and preparing environments, setting up and cleaning away materials for activities.
- Caring for children with respect and dignity, considering cultural, socio-economic, and individual differences.
- Maintaining accurate records for children attending the crèche.
- Coordinating and directing the activities of employees engaged in the implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs.
- Staying informed about all the Centre's activities and procedures to assist customers when needed.
What Type of Person Will Be Successful
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Experience in the supervision of children, preferably in a childcare environment.
- Relevant childcare qualifications (desirable).
- Maintain a current Provide First Aid certificate.
- Current C Class Drivers Licence.
- Ability to work flexible hours to suit the operational needs of the Crèche.
- Current National Police Clearance.
- Current Working with Children Check.
