Job Description Summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Crew Leader to join Service Stream team based at our Thomastown depot.

Reporting Line: Field Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
Service Stream is ramping up to deliver some existing and new projects. With this comes an opportunity for experienced Crew Leader to join our Thomastown team
You will bring with the following;
- Supervising various sized teams and mechanical equipment and maintaining team discipline
- Induction training and development of personnel including appraisals of Team Members
- Training Team Members in safety, work practices and job procedures in order to set up and maintain a safe working environment
- Utilising various mains and services work requirements
- Excavations to correct lines, depth and grades, pipe bedding, pipe laying, backfilling, consolidation and reinstatement
- Pipe laying using steel, cast iron and plastic pipe including use of marker tapes, tracer wires, installation of valves and fittings, tie-ins to live mains tapping of mains, etc.
- Dealing with field and administrative problems and negotiating solutions for them including both written and verbal reporting thereof
- Planning and organising the work of teams under their control including the scheduling of all relevant items for effective undertaking of the task

In addition to the above, we require an individual with
- Experience in managing crews and resources across the construction/gas industry
- Ability to comply with the Workplace Health and Safety regulations, codes and practices in the gas supply industry
- Ability to deliver practical solutions with attention to the required detail
- Licences required; white card, HR licence,
- Cert II or III in Gas Supply Industry Operations is required
