Steamatic Brimbank in Melbourne’s Western suburbs is a locally owned business where you will be employed as part of a productive team. You will be regarded as more than just an employee. You will be an integral part of our team.
We operate within a national framework, working with the insurance industry, covering home and contents claims. We provide restoration services to residential and commercial properties after flood, fire, water, mould, and storm damage. Steamatic is a unique, niche business delivering a wide variety of professional services.
We currently have 2 technician roles to fill on a casual basis. The successful applicants will be reporting directly to the operations manager and will enjoy a level of autonomy within our existing business operating systems whilst physically carrying out restoration and cleaning works at residential and commercial properties.
We are looking for a Crew Member who can do the following:
- understand maintenance, cleaning & construction basics
- have the empathy to interact with people in stressful conditions
- possess a mature workplace attitude
- extract water, install drying equipment
- remove carpet and /or carpet steam cleaning – after training
- mould and fire remediation - setting up containment, installing air filtration equipment, small structural strip out works after training
- household contents restoration - packing out, cleaning and sorting, re-packing
- laundry - washing and folding
- use Ipad apps to create Inventory Reports, create on site Assessment Reports
- liaise with clients and other industry professionals

You will need
- Solid attention to detail and capacity to complete set tasks thoroughly
- Physically fit and energetic (lifting up to 20kgs)
- A can-do attitude, with a solutions driven personality
- Current Victorian Driver’s license
- Sound written and verbal communication.
- Confidence & ability to deal with a diverse range of people
- Professional personal presentation
- Ability to pass National clients’ various security checks - including Queensland police checks.
- Basic computer literacy – work instruction are al Ipad based
- Current White Card and willingness to obtain a police check and working with children's check
