National Patient Transport (NPT), a leading provider of Non-Emergency Patient Transport, provides High Acuity Transport Services (HATS) for the inter hospital transport of stable yet complex, high acuity patients.
Our major customers include Monash Health, Austin Health, Alfred Health, Eastern Health, Western Health, Northern Health, Barwon Health, Epworth Group, Adult Retrieval Victoria and Ambulance Victoria. Our customers are generally EDs, ICUs and CCUs.
HATS work is interesting and challenging. If you are confident providing patient care in an autonomous environment and enjoy the satisfaction of caring for one patient at a time this might be the job for you.
Shifts are 10 hour duration and include days, evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays. Full time, part time or casual shifts are available with a minimum requirement to commit to 3 days per fortnight.
Responsibilities
- Care of low, medium and high acuity patients
- Delivery of high quality patient care in a safe, timely and efficient manner
- Compliance with patient care documentation
- Adhering to NEPT regulations and Clinical Practice Protocols as defined by the Department of Health
- Compliance with NPT policies and procedures
- Maintaining Critical Care currency and competency by continued and regular work in a hospital in a Critical Care area
Position requirements
- Post Graduate Critical Care qualification or equivalent essential
- Minimum 2 years current Critical Care experience
- Current ACLS certification
- Current APHRA registration
- Current Victorian Driver's licence
- Current Working with Children's Check
- Current Police Check
- Immunisation Certification
Successful candidates
- Ability to provide high standard of patient care and safety
- Clear communication with good interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Flexibility and willingness to work reasonable overtime as required
