The Client Services Assistant/Security Orderly Role
The Client Services Assistant/Security Orderly will provide a range of duties encompassing security, patient care, cleaning, catering and portering using correct methods, materials and equipment which contributes to the effective and efficient operation of the Health Unit.
The security aspect of the role will necessitate assisting with clients, in such a manner as to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone involved in accordance with the Hospital's policies and procedures.
The position may include having to deal with aggressive or agitated clients. As a member of team, assists with emergency restraints or threats within the Health Unit.
The Client Services Assistant/Security Orderly supports and assists Patients Support Services in designated areas. They may be required to transport patients.
The Port Augusta Hospital and Regional Health Service provides acute services ranging from in-hospital care for adults and children by medical officers including outpatients. Our staff work in close partnership with community health services and Aboriginal health providers to ensure that optimum care is delivered to all areas of the community. We also provide specific facilities and staff for Aboriginal patients.
This is a part time vacancy, working 64 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
