Are you a dynamic, highly motivated, energetic and self-directed CSSD Technician looking to progress in your career? Darwin Private Hospital currently has a vacancy for an experienced CSSD Technician/Educator to join their established team.
As the CSSD Educator your responsibilities will include:
- Plan and develop education and training for CSSD personnel, including competencies and mandatory training
- Assist Instrument Tracking System Projects
- Assist CSSD Manager to effectively manage the service to maximise clinical outcomes for patients
- Ensure compliance with AS 4187:2014, policies & procedures and legislation
- Ensure the highest standards of service provision and patient care are achieved through effective leadership, strategic direction and operational efficiency
- Lead Quality and Process improvement projects
- Flexible to work shift work as required

Desirable Criteria:
- Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation
- 5 years’ experience working in a CSSD role within a hospital
- Sound knowledge of AS/NZ 4187 2014
- Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation
- Experience with tracking systems
- Endoscopy reprocessing experience or willingness to learn
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
- Intermediate computer literacy skills - including MS office and various data bases
- An interest in promoting best practice patient care
- A focus on professional development
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Previous Education experience
