Are you a dynamic, highly motivated, energetic and self-directed CSSD Technician looking to progress in your career? Darwin Private Hospital currently has a vacancy for an experienced CSSD Technician/Educator to join their established team.
As the CSSD Educator your responsibilities will include:
Plan and develop education and training for CSSD personnel, including competencies and mandatory training
Assist Instrument Tracking System Projects
Assist CSSD Manager to effectively manage the service to maximise clinical outcomes for patients
Ensure compliance with AS 4187:2014, policies & procedures and legislation
Ensure the highest standards of service provision and patient care are achieved through effective leadership, strategic direction and operational efficiency
Lead Quality and Process improvement projects
Flexible to work shift work as required

Desirable Criteria:
Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation
5 years’ experience working in a CSSD role within a hospital
Sound knowledge of AS/NZ 4187 2014
Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation
Experience with tracking systems
Endoscopy reprocessing experience or willingness to learn
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
Intermediate computer literacy skills - including MS office and various data bases
An interest in promoting best practice patient care
A focus on professional development
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Previous Education experience
