Peninsula Private Hospital is looking for experienced Cert III CSSD Technicians to join our Perioperative Services Team
· Currently 2 Operating theatres and 1 procedure room with build under way to double capacity by March 2025.

· Busy orthopaedic, urology, general & day procedure lists.
· Week day and occasional weekend lists.

As a member of our team you will play an important role, in providing high quality service to theatres and other clinical areas.
As the CSSD Instrument Technician your responsibilities will include:
- Thermal disinfection inspection, packaging and sterilising of all instrumentation for theatre and other clinical areas
- Comply with AS5369:2023, GENCA
- Operate interpret and document all machinery operational requirements
- Report and document all quality activities
- Ensure priority of instrumentation and processes
Peninsula Private is currently a 50 bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 2 operating theatres and 1 procedure room located on the idyllic Redcliffe Peninsula. Specialties include orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology and internal medicine and the delivery of leading rehabilitation services and programs on the Brisbane northside.
We have recently begun a redevelopment project that will grow the Peri Op department to 4 theatres, 2 procedure rooms and a new CSSD department. The planned completion is March 2025 with a staged move into the new Peri Op Complex expected to begin early in 2025.

Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation
- Sound knowledge of AS5369:2023
- Endoscopy reprocessing experience or willingness to learn
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
- Intermediate computer literacy skills - including MS office and various data bases An interest in promoting best practice patient care
- A focus on professional development
