About Us:
Situated in the heart of the Goldfields region, the Goldfields Arts Centre stands as the premier multi-functional arts venue. Boasting a 700-seat auditorium, multiple function spaces and a A Class Gallery. This unique venue is seeking a curator to spearhead our dynamic and diverse annual exhibition program and maintain
the City's extensive art collection. As the Curator at Kalgoorlie Boulder's premiere arts and culture facility, you will play a pivotal role in bringing art to life in our community and contributing to the cultural enrichment of the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
Position Overview:
Responsibilities for this position encompass curating, coordinating, and overseeing all facets of the Goldfields Arts Centre's yearly exhibition program. This involves close
collaboration with artists, meticulous record-keeping, community engagement, and enhancing the artistic vitality of our area.
Additionally, you will have the exciting opportunity to curate the esteemed City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Art Prize. If you have a passion for the arts and a knack for meticulous planning, this role is tailor-made for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibition Program Development: Create a present a balanced, varied, and captivating annual exhibition program.
- Logistics Management: Oversee all logistics pertaining to exhibition program, including artist liaison, contract management, installations and documentation.
- Community Engagement: Actively involve the community and ensure community exhibitions are integrated into the annual program
- Art Prize Coordinator: Coordinate and curate the annual City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Art Prize.
- Budget Management: Monitor and manage the gallery budget to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
- Installation Expertise: Skillfully execute exhibition installations, either independently or with gallery assistants.
- Public Programs: Develop and coordinate engaging public programs, floor talks, and workshops to enrich exhibitions and Artist in Residence programs.
- Conservation: Offer expertise in, and undertake, the conservation of the City's Art Collection.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with local, state, and national visual arts bodies and organisations, including Art on the Move.

Salary ranges between $76,988 to $83,321 plus superannuation
