Gilmore College's new 'public sector award' position of Curriculum Support Officer will offer the right applicant a fast paced position that will have you at the forefront of making a difference to students from years 7 - 12. If you have an interest in patterns and numbers and a desire to join a cohesive and supportive team, if you think you have the skills, knowledge and drive to support the administration team in maintaining outstanding delivery of reporting, assessment, administration and timetabling maintenance tasks, then this is the position for you.
The Curriculum Support Officer will provide administrative, reporting and timetabling support to the Principal, Deputy Principals and teaching staff. They will maintain and monitor a range of administrative and curriculum related databases to ensure integrity of school data, extract and generate reports, and provide data to the school administration team to enhance school operations. High level Information Computer Technology (ICT) skills, including the ability to use spreadsheets to manipulate data, understanding and experience of Integris, Compass and Reporting to Parents (RTP) will all be highly regarded. Supporting timetable maintenance within Integris will be a key element of this role.
The Curriculum Support Officer will coordinate and support a range of internal and external processes. The complex nature of the role will ideally require the successful applicant to be a hardworking individual, with highly effective communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The successful applicant should have exceptional organisational and time management skills and the ability to effectively work autonomously as required whilst maintaining a team approach and open and positive communication chains.
Gilmore College is an Independent Public School which opened in 2008, continuing 52 previous years of secondary education provided by Kwinana Senior High School. The school continues the education of students from within the City of Kwinana area primary schools. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
- Ability to provide effective administrative support and input into the development, implementation and monitoring of business systems.
- Initiative and sound organisational skills with the ability to identify priorities and meet deadlines.
- Sound research, conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to provide innovative thinking in problem solving.
- Well developed computer skills, including the ability to create, operate, manipulate databases, spreadsheets and extract reports.
- Sound written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to liaise with individuals at all levels and work effectively in a team environment.
