With a fast growing Marketing team, it’s an exciting time to be part of the G’day journey.

The Role

With expanding Data Analytics capability, we are looking for a new person to join the Customer Data and Insights team. In this role, you will use your skills to provide the business with a greater understanding of our customers and how they behave to help inform future strategic decision making. We are looking for a person with a passion for discovering solutions and insights and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.

This role will be responsible for creating and delivering data-driven value across the G’Day Group. This will involve using data to discover and surface insights, predict behaviour and visualise results.

This role will require you to;

· · Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand key business questions and deliver simple data driven solutions with meaningful, actionable insights.

· Develop suitable models to inform decision-making and investment.

· Draw on relevant data sources to build tailored insights solutions with appropriate reporting (dashboards / visualisation and presentations) that communicate key findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

· Bring technical expertise and knowledge of ‘best practice’ in Customer Data Analytics and solutions for continuous improvement and efficiencies.

· Use advanced statistical techniques (predictive models, clustering techniques, etc.) to answer complex business questions.

· Use SQL Server Management Studio, Power BI and workflow automation tools (KNIME) or equivalent to access, transform, integrate, and analyse data from various data sources.

· Identify and source internal and external data sets to enrich our market and customer understanding for better insights and business value.

· Contribute to the ongoing communication project updates and key findings within the organisation.

Your Experience

A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science) along with working knowledge of data analytics, or data engineering is essential to the success of this role. To be successful in this role you will have strong business acumen, proficiency in behavioural / customer analytics, dashboarding and reporting, combined with strong skills in programming languages such as SQL (or equivalent). A professional commitment to maintaining code quality is critical.

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills which will be used when working across cross function teams and external stakeholders. You will be naturally curious and possess a high level of energy, self-motivation, autonomy, initiative, flexibility and attention to detail to be successful in meeting the business demands at G’day Group. Your naturally upbeat and open style will fit our cultural values. You will have a highly organised mindset with the ability to assess the urgency of work allocated to you by various stakeholders.

Discovery is a dynamic company with an energetic ‘market disrupter’ reputation. If you are passionate, adventurous, and ready to hit the ground running, we want to hear from you.
