Job Summary (Purpose) :
Reporting to the Customer Director Pharmacy and Pureplay, the Customer Development Manager - Pharmacy is responsible for the achievement of a broad range of commercial objectives across all categories, within the national Pharmacy business. You will lead the delivery of the National Business Plan and key growth strategies, as well as maximising support for new line launches and return on promotional investment.
Critical to this exciting role, is an ability to work within a cross functional team in a fast paced environment with numerous internal and external stakeholders. The ability to simultaneously manage a large number of projects is integral to success in this role. You will be responsible for bringing our strategies and plans to market and optimising on an ongoing basis to ensure they remain effective.
Another crucial element of your success in this role is your ability to coach, develop and empower your direct report, a Customer Development Executive, to excel in their role, and confidently engage and win with their customers and develop the key skills required to progress within the organisation
Main Responsibilities :

  • Building and managing successful relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Development of promotional strategy and action plans to maximise growth, including post-event analysis and recommendations
  • Monitoring sales and distribution performance, particularly for new products, and taking timely action to drive continuous improvement
  • Implementing and maintaining Category Management initiatives within key pharmacy retailers, developed in partnership with the Category & Shopper Development Manager
  • Partner with state field operations teams to ensure all strategies, plans and programs are implemented with excellence at field level
  • Lead our third party brokerage who manages our Independent Pharmacy retailers
  • Managing, coaching and developing a direct reports
Required (Education, Knowledge required, Language skills, etc)
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • At least 3 years of experience in category/customer/account roles or adjacent experiences required
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written & verbal
  • Exceptional planning and prioritisation skills
  • Proven ability to be self managed and motivated and work effectively remotely
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience working with a syndicated data (Nielsen, Circana, Quantium) preferred
  • Prior experience working in CPG
  • Microsoft Office or Google Suite proficiency (i.e, Sheets, Slides, Docs) preferred
  • Previous people management experience
