This position provides the incumbent with the opportunity to develop and showcase their skills in office administration and advocating for exceptional Customer Experiences while presenting the Council in a positive and enthusiastic manner. The position will provide administrative and governance support to the Governance Directorate.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide administration and support to the Communications, Marketing and Engagement Coordinator in compiling standard form letters, legal and controlled documents, Councillor records management and other tasks as directed.
• Provide admin support for Council’s cemeteries including interment, scheduling of works, and records management.
• Demonstrate personal integrity, ethical practices, confidentiality, self-organisation and personal accountability.
• Participate as part of the Customer Experience team to deliver friendly and helpful customer service to residents, ratepayers and other Council stakeholders
• Perform other office administration tasks including incoming and outgoing correspondence, records management, stationery and equipment ordering, receipting, and answering telephone enquiries and calendar bookings.
• Operate the Bendigo Bank Agency, and act as a Bendigo Bank Customer Experience Officer.
Essential Requirements:
• Australian class C Drivers Licence
• National Police Check
• Willing to obtain a Certificate IV in a relevant field
This position is full time classified between Band 1 to Band 7 under Council’s salary structure with a salary between $48,725.04 to $62,961.99 per annum based on skills and experience plus 11% statutory superannuation, 70 hour 9-day fortnight. Conditions are in accordance with Local Government (State) Award 2023.
