Role Summary:
The Customer Governance & Assurance Lead is a newly created opportunity in our Operational Insights and Governance team based at our Perth CBD Offices.
The purpose of the role is to coordinate and manage the operational governance and risk frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and best practice for quality assurance across the Customer business unit. This is an integral role in the leadership of the team and building strong stakeholder relationships will be key in this role.
Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Lead, coach, mentor and develop the team to achieve key business objectives, connecting Synergy’s vision, purpose, and strategic goals. .
  • Co-ordinate and support ongoing reviews of relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices for operational governance and quality assurance.
  • Provide oversight on annual audit and risk activities to ensure impacted teams are informed, supported and any associated actions are captured and completed on time.
  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities and use strong engagement and influencing skills to work with functional areas to deliver and embed improvements to systems, procedures, training, and customer service solutions.
  • Management and continuous improvement of the risk management framework, business continuity management system, and crisis management functions.
What you’ll bring:
  • Undergraduate degree in business or a related field or relevant business experience
  • Demonstrated experience (ideally 5+ years) in leading a compliance, audit, risk and/or quality assurance/insights team.
  • Strong leadership experience with proven success in employee engagement, performance, development, and talent acquisition.
  • Must have the extensive experience in managing the delivery of compliance and regulation, including a deep knowledge of legislation.
  • Experienced in engaging with staff and in providing advice and coaching.
