About the Role
The key function of this position is to maximise commercial outcomes of TasRail’s freight and logistics in a safe and efficient manner.
Reporting to the Customer Service Delivery Manager, this position plays a critical role in the daily operation of freight delivery across the state by effectively managing rollingstock allocation and customer freight order handling and planning. This is a part time role requiring weekend work on a rotational basis.
Primary Responsibilities will include:
- Maintain high levels of communication with customers.
- Provide support with the co-ordination, planning and communication of resources to maximise revenue per service.
- Assist with managing forecast bookings.
- Support the Customer Service Specialists with freight and logistics requests.
- Explore opportunities for continuous improvements, especially in improving Customer Service delivery and the execution of new business opportunities.
- Identify and provide advice on emerging issues and opportunities to continuously improve services and service delivery.
- Provide administrative support to the Customer Service Team
