The role

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a detail-oriented and organised individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. Located in the Gatehouse for our Chemicals division at Welshpool, you will provide a broad range of Customer Service and administrative tasks across the site, focusing on the Receivables & Dispatch process, to enable the best possible customer experience and enable operations to provide a first-class service.

Hours of work for this role are 7am-3pm / 8am-4pm Monday - Friday.

As the Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Gatehouse Operations: Managing incoming and outgoing traffic at the logistics gatehouse, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Administrative Tasks: Handling paperwork related to dispatch & receivable activities, including verifying delivery orders, inputting data into our systems, and generating reports as needed.
  • Communication: Serving as a point of contact for drivers, warehouse staff, and other stakeholders, providing assistance and information as required.
  • Problem-Solving: Addressing any issues or discrepancies that arise during the dispatch & receiving process, collaborating with relevant departments to find solutions promptly.
  • Compliance: Ensuring that all procedures adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.

About you:

  • Entry-level role, previous experience in a similar administrative or logistics role is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts
