Background to the role:
We are currently seeking a suitable individual to join our dynamic Customer Service Team at Connell Caldic. This role works closely with the Shipping and Purchasing Team to support the overall Customer services team with placing and managing customer orders from start to end. This role is responsible is to ensure an efficient logistics process in dealing with warehouses and freight companies. Based in our Cheltenham office in Melbourne, this is a full time permanent role with the opportunity to work in hybrid arrangements and have great potential for future growth.
Responsibilities:
- Input all new Sales Orders into JDE & email sales contracts to customers for order confirmation
- Coordinate shipping schedules with sales and customers
- Coordinate logistics with freight companies & warehouses
- Secure delivery schedules to meet required inventory demand
- Assist customers with routine problem solving relating to order discrepancies, stock availability and price
- Effectively follow-up communications with all relative parties involved
- Coordinate and ensure proper filing of local documentation and declarations as needed
Candidate attributes required:
- Previous experience in a Customer Service Role (preferably in specialty chemical distribution or a similar industry).
- Previous experience in dealing with customer orders, third party warehouses, freight and courier companies
- Knowledge of operational process in supply chain and sales is not essential but highly preferable
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Superior skills to build strong and positive relationships with external and internal customers
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal, Customer Service and communication skills
- An outgoing "can do" personality and flexible, collaborative approach to work
