An Australian Owned and Operated Freight Forwarder located in the CBD is seeking an experienced Customs Broker to join their team and be responsible for the end-to-end Customs and Biosecurity processing utilising a broad range of skills in Customs Brokerage. Conveniently located close to public transport with onsite parking also available and offering hybrid work environment.Duties & Responsibilities:
- Licensed Customs Broker & Biosecurity Accredited
- Knowledge in entry preparation, classifying and compiling
- Checking and lodging entries
- Processing EFT payments
- Applying for tariff concessions
- Preparing refund/duty drawbacks
- Provide advice in regards to Customs & Quarantine regulations
- Ability to provide adhoc support to team members
- Maintain knowledge & understanding of ever changing customs & quarantine regulation.
- NCCC AQIS accredited (AEP not necessary)
- Willing to compile & classify on top of lodgements
- CargoWise experience essential
- Current ABF license including DAWR accreditation
- Ability to work unsupervised
- High degree of numeracy, literacy and analytical skills
- Adaptable, ethical and hands-on approach
- Ability to effectively interact and network with internal/external stakeholders to facilitate professional movement of all shipments
- First-class communication skills - written and verbal
- Ability to prioritise and time-manage
- Attention to detail
