Address We have an exciting opportunity for a Customs Broker to join our DHL Global Forwarding Team based in our Perth, WA office. This is a full-time opportunity reporting directly to the Ocean Freight CDZ Manager.

Overall Role Purpose As a Customs Broker you will be responsible for:
Supports the CDZ Manager in CDZ operations such as tax and duty declaration.
Acts as Liaison with Custom Authorities and administration matters.
Acts as key contact for allocated customers.
Check, lodge and pay Customs entries.
Assist Classifiers / Compilers with entry preparation, queries, etc.
Arrange Barrier Clearances.
Ensure customs entries are completed in a timely manner.
Skills / Qualifications
Minimum two (2) to five (5) year’s experience in the freight forwarding industry and/or customs industry.
Possesses relevant Customs qualification – ACS licence. (Mandatory requirement)
Previous experience in Shipping/International freight forwarding industry in airfreight and/or ocean-freight / Import operational roles (advantageous)
Relevant Tertiary qualification i.e. Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Logistics, or Industry related fields. (Advantageous)
Sound knowledge of freight forwarding and customs general
Full time Australian work rights
Good knowledge of forwarding business, DGF products (OFR) and business systems
Ability to identify and meet customer needs in a pleasant and friendly manner.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good telephone and E-mail skills
Commercial attitude
Good knowledge in English (verbal/written).
Results driven and attention to details.
High degree of written, verbal, and organisational skills.
Proven hands-on experience in used accounting system is preferred.
Good experience in MS Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, charts, etc.) required.
Strong analytical skills
