The role
Suncorp’s Innovation team conducts future-focussed experiments and to achieve this, the CX/UX Innovation Specialist role is pivotal. It helps to define the right experiment approach and lead customer research, both qualitative and quantitative. This role should have some affinity for UX and prototyping but will work collaboratively with a UI/UX Specialist and other key roles within the team to deliver experiments.
In this role you will lead the experiment methodology, drive customer research, and identify insights to inform design. Working with a UX Specialist, the CX/UX Specialist will inform the design of prototypes to be used in customer testing.
The ideal candidate will have experience in leading customer interviews and tests, drawing insights to inform recommendations and has exceptional facilitating and presentation skills.

What you’ll do
- Run customer testing end to end, incl. recruitment, test, data synthesis, analysis and insights
- Lead the design, development, and test of prototype experiences, processes, services, or products
- Apply UX design expertise to the design of interactions, wireframe storyboard flows and prototypes and explain your rationale for decisions
- Engage with business and other stakeholders to ensure the success of the innovation initiatives
- Work collaboratively with the team to ideate, discover and deliver innovation projects
- Provide senior leaders with specialist advice to improve the customer experience
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant, business-oriented discipline
- Significant experience (5+ years in customer experience management, UX/UI Design)
- Capability to design prototypes using tools such as Figma
- Demonstrated experience with innovation tools and techniques (including design thinking, human centred design)
- A track record of leading service or product design and development, from ideation through to prototyping, trialling, and scaling
- A track record of exposure to digital solutions and products
- Leadership/supervisory experience in dynamic environments (desirable)
