About the Role
Reporting to the Program Director, Next Gen Technology Program the purpose of the Cyber Resiliency Program Manager role is to lead the strategic planning, implementation, and management of a comprehensive and forward-thinking cybersecurity program spanning a period of 2-3 years. This critical position is tasked with ensuring the University’s digital landscape remains secure, resilient, and adaptive in the face of evolving cyber threats.

As the Cyber Resiliency Program Manager, your primary purpose is to drive the delivery and execution of a multi-faceted cybersecurity strategy that aligns with the Swinburne’s broader objectives. You will take the helm in overseeing the implementation of various initiatives aimed at safeguarding our digital assets, protecting sensitive data, and enhancing our cybersecurity posture.

  • Your purpose extends beyond day-to-day technical activities; it involves strategic thinking and the orchestration of efforts across technology and wider support teams.
  • You will lead by example, fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness and responsibility among your peers and team members.
  • Your ability to envision the overarching cybersecurity roadmap and translate it into actionable projects will be pivotal in safeguarding our systems, networks, and sensitive information.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Previous program management expertise in the successful execution of a Cloud Migration solution, including:Successful execution of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS migration initiatives for business-critical applications.
    Application assessment at a portfolio level.
    Development of cloud migration strategies, plans, and implementation roadmaps.
    Development and execution of vendor selection processes in conjunction with the procurement function, including RFPs, SOWs, contract negotiations, and ongoing vendor engagement management and performance monitoring.
    Development and presentation of relevant governance documentations including business cases and status reporting.
  • Expertise in project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle, including agile principles.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills including the ability to develop effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders and staff varying from detailed technical experts through to executive management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write high quality reports, and present information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations, with incomplete detail or analysis

Qualifications

  • A postgraduate degree level qualification in a relevant discipline with extensive relevant experience in specialist areas, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Relevant Project Management qualifications
