Talent International is searching for an experienced Cyber Security Analyst to join our client a Not for Profit Organisation based in Milton, Brisbane on an 8 Month Contract.

The role:
The Cyber Security Analyst will conduct thorough investigations, document findings, and deliver comprehensive reports on pertinent information, security challenges, and evolving trends. Moreover, they will actively participate in crafting robust response plans, refining policies, and establishing procedures aimed at safeguarding the clients IT systems and infrastructure against a spectrum of security threats and vulnerabilities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with external security providers to conduct continuous monitoring and assessment of the IT landscape, both internally and externally, to detect technological security incidents. Offer insightful recommendations to management and promptly execute necessary measures to mitigate identified risks effectively.
- Develop robust policies and procedures aimed at resolving existing issues and fortifying our clients IT systems and infrastructure against potential future security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Provide specialised Cyber Security expertise through internal consulting services, ensuring comprehensive support where needed within the organisation.
- Engage proactively in fulfilling expectations outlined in the Organisational Performance System processes, ensuring alignment with agreed-upon standards and objectives.
- Occasionally, lend support to other locations as required and be prepared for intrastate or interstate travel as necessary to fulfil job responsibilities. Requirements
- University level qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar and a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience, or a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience working in Cyber Security in an operational IT environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of contemporary IT and Cyber Security practices and products (including cloud-based technologies)
- Demonstrated experience with encryption technologies. ethical hacking. and vulnerability assessment techniques.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate technical data and information for nontechnical audiences.
- Sound understanding and working knowledge of the Informational Technology and Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve problems logically and creatively. performing root cause analyses to accurately identify and troubleshoot system issues.
