The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the GM - IT & Service Delivery, the role supports the delivery of the enterprise cloud and security project portfolio, to ensure the ongoing availability and integrity of Aveo's mission-critical systems. Drives improvements and innovation opportunities to the organisations security and operational platforms to create a seamless IT experience for Aveo staff and customers.

You will:
- Support the delivery of strategic security along with cloud, enterprise networking - projects, managing technical debt and operational effectiveness of Aveo's IT infrastructure.
- Contribute to Aveo's security strategy and roadmap as an SME of Microsoft 365, Azure and other PaaS/SaaS platforms.
- Work within an iterative (Agile) value-delivery backlog and work with Project Managers and Product Owners to ensure project outcomes are achieved in line with agreed budget, time and scope.
- Create, update and communicate security architectural documentation for technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that the business' knowledge repository is maintained to a high standard following ITIL principals.
- Detect and respond to reported incidents with actual/ potential security impact ensuring they are appropriately triaged, prioritised and remediated.
- Monitor, identify, investigate, and respond to threats in Aveo technology environments.
- Regularly review and assess Azure and O365 security controls ensuring they are operating as designed.
- Participate in Cybersecurity Incident simulation activities, and security compliance (PCI DSS, PCI PIN, ISO27001, SOC2, etc.,) efforts.
- Manage internal security threats in Aveo environment and facilitate remediation like phishing, impersonation, etc.
- Ensure system hardening requirements are implemented based on industry best practices (CIS, NIST, SANS) and perform periodic secure configuration reviews on servers, database and other devices to ensure compliance.
- Reviewing security aspect of new software or upgrading existing software to meet performance requirements.
- Recommending hardware upgrades to improve performance or reduce/ prevent end-of-life or end-of-support risk, when necessary.
- Mitigate threats to the Microsoft 365 environment by using Microsoft 365 Defender, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Defender for Identity
- Mitigate threats to the Azure cloud environment by using Defender for Cloud and remediate situations impacted by false positives.
- Pro-actively assess the internal systems and infrastructure against the wider technology landscape and provide recommendations to the Cloud Services Team Lead to maintain a modern IT platform that provides the best possible outcome or Aveo security in relation to our business.
What you'll bring
- Degree level of qualifications in IT or relevant discipline
- Experienced SME for cloud (IaaS, PaaS, & SaaS) Networking and security
- At least 6 years' experience in supporting the implementation of technology projects and solutions (MSP experience is highly regarded).
- Experience in the delivery and/or management of Cloud network and SD-WAN technologies.
- Experience working within iterative delivery (Agile), Cross-functional delivery (DevOps) models
- Demonstrated experience in supporting effective Cyber Security practices and configurations (Zero trust, RBAC, NIST etc.)
- Vendor and relationship management with key technology partners
- Excellent analytical abilities and troubleshooting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
