Job Title: Cyber Security Systems Engineer

Location: Sydney

Job Type: 6 month contract | START DATE: April 29th 2024

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Systems Engineering and Administration of Cyber Security Systems:
   
   • Ensure capacity, availability, and functionality requirements are met.
   • Timely patching and updating of all systems, software, and applications.
   • Optimal integration across systems.
   • Maintain data hygiene and quality standards.
   • Securely configure systems, including user access and permissions control.

1. Maintain Currency of Knowledge and Skills:
   
   • Stay updated on new technology relevant to Cyber Security.
   • Provide technical expertise to stakeholders and clients.

1. Support a Forward-Leaning Approach:
   
   • Research and advise on the suitability of current and future systems.
   • Document systems thoroughly and automate processes with security in mind.

1. Develop and Maintain Productive Relationships:
   
   • Clearly communicate Cyber Security concepts to stakeholders.
   • Influence and build relationships with technical teams.
   • Work with multiple stakeholders and teams using negotiation and communication skills.

1. Undertake Other Duties as Directed:
   
   • Perform other relevant duties as required.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or certifications.
• Desirable skills and experience in:
  • SIEM solutions (Splunk, Palo Alto).
  • Threat Intelligence Platforms.
  • Linux and Windows Server systems administration.
  • Fundamental enterprise technologies.
  • Stakeholder engagement and vendor management.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
