Army requires one ongoing IT Security Officer contracted resource to work within the Army formation, coordinating with unit IT Security Managers and Officers on the day-to-day management of vulnerability and patch notification distribution and monitoring for Army stakeholders, compliance and management of Cyber Security incidents.
Contract is due to commence July 1st, 2024. NV2 Security clearance required.
Some of the key tasks will include:
- Generate, sustain, and maintain relevant system CS&WO documents and artefacts.
- Support vulnerability and patch management of relevant systems and associated reporting.
- Support ICT incident response, collate statistics and analyse trends.
- Support the remediation of CS&WO deficiencies in relevant systems through the submission of RODUMS and other defect reports.
- Conduct audits as required.
- Provide reporting as per the governance reporting requirements, and as required.
- Maintain a database of stakeholder engagement and compliance.
As the ideal candidate you should have the following skills:
- Task requires a resource with a minimum of five years’ experience in ICT and/or Cyber Security.
- Must have high-level knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications.
- Knowledge of, or experience with Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco, Linux, and security products or environments.
- Knowledge of Defence, especially Army, is preferred.
- Experience with Defence ICT infrastructure, applications, or Defence (CIOG/ACSC/ADF) Cyber Security processes and methodologies would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of the Defence ICT environment is preferred
- One Defence Capability Systems (formerly Defence Capability Life Cycle);
- A high level of understanding of the following standards will be beneficial:
- NIST framework
- ISO 27001
