Responsibilities:A real endeavour, shaped by youAs
Cyber Threat Analyst you'll work with our Defence customer to provide the monitoring and analysis of ICT networks and contribute proactive information to investigative authorities about insider threats. This drives and enables assurance of secure cyber security capabilities to support ADF operations and Defence capability.To succeed in this endeavour you will be:
- Analysing IT security events and large data sets for incident response and supporting investigations.
- Generating reliable and detailed reporting of security incidents while accurately communicating the risk and impact of a security incident.
- Maintaining case management systems to track insider threat security incidents and investigations.
- Developing user cases and modelling, focusing on insider threat indicators.
Qualifications:A real endeavour, driven by youOur work is highly complex and confidential, so there are some things you must have to fulfil this role:
- You must have and maintain a Negative Vetting 2 (NV2) security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
- Effective communication and analytical skills are required.
- A sound understating of security event log analysis, detection and response techniques within Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
- Knowledge of networking protocols, systems and application event logging
