4Cyte Pathology’s Sydney-based laboratory provides clinical diagnostics services to healthcare practitioners and the local community. Due to expansion of our business, we are seeking a full-time Cytology Screener to join our team.
About the opportunity
Under the leadership and guidance of the Supervising Cytology Scientist you will be screening predominantly gynaecological cytology as part of the National Screening Program as well as some non-gynaecological specimens.
Applicants should possess the following:
- Degree of Bachelor of Applied Science or equivalent
- CT(ASC) qualification in Gynaecological and Non-Gynaecological Cytology
- Experience in diagnostic cytopathology.
- An understanding of the current National Cervical Screening Program Guidelines.
Duties, Roles, and Responsibilities:
- Screen and report gynaecological specimens as well as some non-gynaecological specimens.
- Adhere to company and quality policies and procedures.
- Participate in QA and continuing education programmes.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision.
