Cardiac Scientist / Technician (CCL)
ABOUT THE POSITION
Situated in Brisbane's northern suburbs, St Vincent's Private Hospital Northside is one of the largest private providers of cardiac surgical and medical services in Queensland.
St Vincent's Northside CCL has a permanent part-time position for a Cardiac Scientist. Services consist of Coronary Angiography and Angioplasty Right Heart Catheterisation, Structural Procedures including TAVI & Mitraclip, Pacemaker and Defibrillation Implantation, Electrophysiology Studies and Radiofrequency/Cryoablation/Pulsed Field Ablation. Ideally you will have extensive knowledge within this specialty and also hold post-graduate education qualifications and affiliations.
You will be required to fulfil the following criteria:
- Degree in Science (or equivalent) with a strong component of human physiology
- Associate Certificate in Cardiopulmonary Technology
- Minimum of 12 months experience in cardiac investigations (preferable)
- Haemo-dynamic monitoring experience
- Electrophysiology/Permanent Pacing experience
- Ability to work flexible hours within a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team·
- Motivated with effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to support and practice the mission and philosophy of the hospital.

- Certificate of Electrophysiology Institute of Australasia
- International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (Electrophysiology & Pacing)

REMUNERATION:
The position of Cardiac Scientist, in addition to our competitive salary packaging options, is a Classification/Grade with a base remuneration of: $63.72 - $66.90 + superannuation based on experience level and relevant qualifications, exclusive of shift penalties or allowances.
