About the opportunity
As an Avanade D365 F&O Functional Architect you are considered a leader in solutioning and implementing Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations Apps which include Finance, SCM, Commerce and Project Operations. Clients trust you to solve their problems because you understand what they need - and how to do it. You are your client's advocate and the ultimate authority on how specific systems, applications or process designs can move their business forward.
What you will love doing
You're a problem solver, knowing the systems, applications and processes that will make a client happy, no matter how complex the Dynamics 365 modules or ISV solutions required. You bring expertise and creativity in business process redesigning and coaxing Customers to adopt leading business processes out of Dynamics 365. You can come up with the solution blueprint required to meet all of customer requirements. You can guide and lead individuals with various strengths to a common goal of client satisfaction and project success.
As an ERP Functional Architect, you'll:
- Establish global ERP architecture by integrating solutions across functional lines
- Support the sales team in shaping deals, with accountability for overall estimates
- Recommend the right Dynamics apps and modules and industry specific ISV solutions
- Oversee your project team, establishing and tracking achievements, coordinating actions, seeking expert advice, handling open issues, and contributing to team meetings and reports
- Define how we measure business and operations success and validate ERP system performance
- Lead across all phases of Avanade projects (e.g., Plan, Analyse, Design, Build, Test, Cut-over and Hypercare)
- Liaise effectively between clients - end-users and IT staff, larger Avanade team and business partners to ensure high quality and timely delivery
- Partner with cross-functional technology and design teams to ensure consistent, positive client interaction and solution delivery

What we're interested in you having
- You are excited about working with a global technology leader to solve business-critical problems for some of the top companies in the world. You are a fast learner, self-starter, and creative thinker. You are passionate about software and its potential to move organisations forward through innovation.
- Understanding of common Industry standard business practices supported by Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, SCM, Commerce and Project Operations. Expertise in at least 2 of the above broad areas is preferred.
- Using Azure DevOps (or JIRA when required), test case planning and acceptance testing framework
- Basic understanding of Relational Database concepts
- Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall delivery models
- Client management skills and the ability to work with clients to develop and manage an action plan
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a larger team throughout an enterprise transformation
- Experience working with global/offshore teams on ERP technology implementation and maintenance projects is desirable.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Any of the following certifications are also desirable:
- MB-700 Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations Apps Solution Architect
- MB-310: Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance
- MB-320: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing
- PL-200: Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant
