A long-standing $32 million consumer and industrial products importer and wholesale distributor, with operations in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.
The role:
Report to the Managing Director and manage a Shipping Coordinator, two Sales Administrators and a Warehouse Manager.
Your remit is to design, plan, execute, and supervise Supply Chain activities to synchronise supply with demand, reduce costs and create revenue opportunities.
The responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this broad role encompasses:
- Develop a Supply Chain strategy to maximise customer satisfaction at the lowest cost.
- Plan and coordinate the installation of a new warehouse and move of existing stock from existing storage facilities.
- Enhance sales and operations planning to forecast inventory requirements to align with customer demand.
- Review supply and logistics contracts and negotiate improved supplier agreements.
- Analyse shipping and delivery processes to identify and resolve issues.
- Manage product sourcing and purchase order processes.
- Manage sales order entry processes and customer satisfaction.
- Manage inventory and optimise warehousing processes.
- Develop and implement safety guidelines.
In order to be successful in your application, you will:
- hold a relevant degree or diploma in Supply Chain or a related discipline.
- have solid experience in purchasing.
- have previously implemented a WMS or inventory management tool.
- ideally have set up a new warehouse, consolidating multiple storage facilities.
