The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a Data Analysis and Reporting Officer to join the data and analytics team within that plays a pivotal role in delivering positive change for Development Services.

As a Data Analysis and Reporting Officer, you will participate in a range of data related improvement initiatives and be challenged with:

• contributing to team direction and a culture of performance excellence
• employing well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, consult and coordinate a range of stakeholders
• deliver a range of timely and accurate data related tasks
• quickly acquiring an understanding of Council’s data environment and relevant business processes.

The Development Services Data and Insights teamis a fast-paced environment so being flexible and adaptable is key. Working to demanding deadlines and building collaborative relationships is also a must for the successful candidate.

To be successful you will have:

• demonstrated technical proficiency in MS SQL to develop structures such as stored procedures
• applied knowledge and understanding of data modelling (eg. Kimballs dimensional modelling methodology)
• demonstrated experience in data extraction, data modelling and creating analytical reports/dashboards using PowerBI
• demonstrated experience working in the Microsoft Azure Platform
• applied knowledge of end to end data analytics processes
• knowledgeable in data management and governance
• an independent and inquisitive working style
• comfortable working in an ever evolving environment, adaptable to juggling priorities and change.
